Home Team Coffee Co. Packaging Design Case Study
Refining a Growing Brand Through Packaging
Home Team Coffee Co. came to us with an existing brand and packaging concept already in progress, but they needed help bringing it across the finish line. The foundation was there, but the system needed refinement, consistency, and final production-ready execution.
Our role was to step in, improve what had already been started, and create a packaging system that felt more polished, cohesive, and ready for print.
The Challenge
The project was not starting from scratch. Home Team Coffee Co. already had initial packaging design work underway, but the materials needed additional design thinking and production expertise to fully come together.
The challenge was to take multiple pieces that were partially developed and turn them into a more unified packaging system that worked visually, functionally, and across multiple formats.
What We Did
For this project, we focused on refining and expanding the packaging rather than creating the original brand from the ground up.
Our work included:
refining the layout and design details of the coffee bag packaging
improving hierarchy and overall visual consistency
preparing final print-ready files
designing packaging for the sample packs
creating a custom box to hold the sample pack set
helping ensure all pieces worked together as one cohesive system
Our Approach
Packaging is often won or lost in the details. Small shifts in spacing, hierarchy, alignment, and consistency can make a major difference in how professional a product feels on the shelf or in someone’s hands.
For Home Team Coffee Co., our goal was to preserve the direction that was already in motion while strengthening the execution. We looked at how each piece related to the others and refined the system so the bags, sample packs, and box all felt connected.
This was about more than making individual pieces look better. It was about helping the brand present itself more clearly and confidently as a complete product line.
The Outcome
The result was a more cohesive packaging system that elevated the presentation of the brand and prepared the products for real-world use and production.
By tightening the details and building out the supporting pieces, we helped Home Team Coffee Co. move from an unfinished concept to a packaging system that felt more complete, more intentional, and more ready for customers.
Why It Matters
Good packaging does more than hold a product. It shapes first impressions, builds trust, and reinforces the quality of what is inside.
For Home Team Coffee Co., this project was about taking an existing start and turning it into something more refined, more unified, and more market-ready.
